Our Reviews

  • We found Baan Farang by accident whilst traveling from Krabi to Koh Samui with my brother We stopped off for a coffee, but ended up staying in their cozy little mud hut We enjoyed a night chatting with the owners Michelle (british) & Jack(Thai) getting first hand experience of what is it is like to live in rural Thailand and jack on the bar in to the night. They have a super cool bar and restaurant at very low prices The bungalow was 350 baht per night. A must visit if doing a road trip. Michelle was very passionate and helpful in regards to tips on places to visit and all genuine.

  • I found this place travelling from Krabi to Koh Samui, I was dying for some proper coffee as I was sick of that rubbish from the cafes and from 7/11. So I looked for a coffee shop nearby, there was one not too far away and we were surprised to find it also had a homestay. We were curious as to where it was exactly and also what a ‘homestay’ was, so we contacted the company. The owner is Thai. Jack (Thai) and his wife Michelle (British) We ended up staying in their cool mudhut which was a great experience, we had a great sleep, bed super comfy and clean. I loved the cool traditional Thai style. Very cozy! We ate food and enjoyed cocktails, very cheap! Of course I also had my coffee I was searching for! Great coffee may I add! Turns out Jack trained in Australia - and aussies know their coffee! At 350 baht (£8.50 approx) a night, its definetly worth the stay, please check it out - you’ll thank me later!

  • We spend a night there and really enjoy the all experience. Michelle’s design brings great vibes. I totally recommended that pitch stop for anyone crossing the country from Krabi/Phuket to Koh Samui/ Phangan/Tao. A little jewel hidden in the forest! Great coffee by Mr Jack and delicious cat fish wrapped in Banana leave. Thank you! :))
